Wedding days are stressful, we know this from any side. So let me jot down a quick overview of some details you'll want to remember to bring on your wedding day, for your photographer.
Your wedding day will be full of special moments and things you spent so much time looking at and selecting with your sweetie.
Remember to pack them or set them aside for your photographer to actually photograph them for you.
Anything from the earrings you will be wearing to the invitation and shoes or those movie tickets from your very first date! If it means something big in your story, pack it!
Here is my fun, simple yet helpful list!
In a special box or bag, carefully pack some of the following:
bride's jewelry
cuff links, tie/bowtie, watch
perfume and cologne
wedding invitation or save-the-dates
his and her vows (even if it's just a wrinkled piece of paper!)
wedding bands (this is important, get your rings cleaned and polished!)
memorial items you may be including (such as grama's picture in your bouquet)
the "something old"
the "something new"
the "something borrowed"
the "something blue"
boutonniere or extra petals
those movie tickets from your first date!
or that record for your first dance!
get a special hanger for your wedding dress
future husband's fancy new shades
You know where I am getting at here.
Don't do like me and forget to pack your wedding bouquet! Add those special items to the box and tell your photographer if there is something in there that means more to you than the rest. Try not to go overboard and add too many random things. Pick those items carefully since they will be commemorated as part of your wedding day journey.
Another important thing to remember is to make sure all of your items are well placed to avoid wrinkles or ripping. Please don't forget to iron or steam your dress and that necktie.
Lastly, make a quick list of those items and place it on-top of the box so you can check them off as you go and on the day of you KNOW they are in there!
And, if you forget to pack some aesthetic pieces, or don't have any, ASK your photographer if they bring or include any simple enhancers.
Personally, I always pack a few little things that can help enhance those detail shots for you.
Even if they don't, a good, seasoned photographer will get your details looking super fly with whatever is available!
Now, go! Go make your list of items you want to bring specific to your love story and start setting them aside!
Is there anything you think I missed? What specific items would you pack (or not pack) from my suggestions?
The day has come and gone; what do you wish you would have packed for those special details?
